We’ve just launched another great site for Western travel for Wyoming.  This little site has everything you need to know about Wyoming tourism and travel.  It’s your portal to the best of Wyoming like Yellowstone National Park.  If you have anything to offer that will make the Wyoming site better let us know.

Attack of the TSA Body Scanners

June 12th, 2008

The TSA is at it again with new devices that see through your clothes.  They will be able to see your genitals, implants, and any medical devices.  They will also be able to see those with bombs strapped to their bodies.  I’ve been waiting a long time for better equipment at the airports that would make the screening process smoother so I don’t want to protest this too loudly, but at the same time this is a clear slap in the face to anyone that simply wants to take a vacation or conduct business.

Charleston in the Fall and Spring - Not in the Summer

June 6th, 2008

I have a South Carolina travel site so I should only be saying things to get you there, but the truth is that Charleston is way to hot in the summer to enjoy.  If you are hitting the beaches in SC then go for it but walking around in the steam and heat of Charleston in the summer is miserable.  Charleston is a beautiful city and I love it, but it’s best enjoyed in the fall, winter, and spring.  So, go ahead and plan your trip to Charleston now for the fall.

Most Go Online To Plan Travel

June 4th, 2008

Most people in North America now go online first when planning a vacation.  They may still turn to the old and reliable guidebooks, but they first check the Web.  Travelers go from reading travel reviews and checking out travel Websites like this one, to blogs, to travel booking sites like Travelocity and Orbitz (my two favorites).
By checking the Internet first for travel info you can learn way ahead of time where the best places are to spend your time and money, and learn what to do once you reach your destination.   If you haven’t booked travel online yet you should start now.  It’s a great way to get excellent deals and have more control over your what you like to do when you travel compared with what a travel agent prefers or has been convinced to sell you.

Airline Travel Down

June 2nd, 2008

The Travel Industry Association (TIA) released a poll last week showing that airline travel is down due to the hassles of dealing with security, lost luggage, and other annoyances of airline travel.  I travel by air at least once a month and I can relate well to these issues.  Even with these problems I still suggest flying as a great way to get to your preferred destination.  Just compare it with how long it took to get anywhere a hundred years ago.  Think about the how long it once took to get from the east coast to the west coast (3 months or more).  So even with the delays, lost luggage, and horrible airport security flying is still a great way to get to far away locals.  There’s also travel by train if you want to keep cost low and don’t mind the slower trip.

Colorado Vacation

May 29th, 2008

My new travel site is almost complete.  This Colorado Vacation guide has some beautiful images - it’s easy to find great pictures of such an amazing place - and excellent information researched by Write Away Copywriting.  Some of my favorite pages are the Colorado skiiing pages and a the hiking Co page.

Let me know if something is missing or if you have anything interesting to add to the site.
